Compassion and Understanding

Many exercise professionals choose to join the industry through being unhealthy themselves and then discovering the benefits of exercise.
They then share these benefits with others.
They learnt the hard way, through doing things that didn't make them healthy first, then changing.

As people who have found the light and know the benefits we need to remember that once we didn't.
We need to be compassionate to those who haven't reached the point we reached yet.
These people are not bad, mad, stupid.
We weren't.
They sometimes don't listen to reason.
We often didn't.
They should not be stigmatised, they should be encouraged.
Like we were.
Maybe they won't see the light in the timeframe we would like them to.
We probably didn't either.
As you know, it's worth it when you get there.
Help them get there.
