At BigRedBall we are experts in workplace and personal assessment, skills feedback and sales and customer service checks. Our assessment services include Skills Active and REPS assessments, independent workplace assessments and individual 'warrant of fitness' assessments for all types of professional skills.
What makes us different?
We see assessment as more than just turning up and checking some boxes. Assessment is about offering learning and development opportunities for those being assessed and creating meaningful measures for staff development. We are happy to provide standardised assessments or create something that meets the specific needs of your workplace.
Our Assessment costs include support and mentoring throughout, with our Skills Active assessing we are available throughout the learning process to assist with any support required.
It is tempting to use assessment as a means to performance manage underperforming staff while letting staff that are doing well get on with it. This sets up assessment as a negative and means those who are performing are robbed of valuable and measurable feedback.
Assessing is not always about correcting faults, it is awesome at identifying strengths within your team and for yourself
IA (Independent Assessment) Quotes
Our IA services include technical assessments (for Group fitness instructors, personal trainers) and service assessments (for sales and frontline staff).
The advantage of using our Head Assessor Julz and her team is that Julz has assessed a range quantity of professionals from all over the country in many different areas and skill levels. This gives her the understanding of what is expected and accepted throughout the industry so you can get a measure against the industry rather than just one person.

RCC Assessments for Unrecognised Fitness Qualifications
There is now a significantly simplified way that we verify qualifications for individuals who have completed non REPs registered courses (the number of non registered courses is now small as the majority of fitness and exercise courses are now registered with REPs). This new process will also apply to people moving to NZ from countries which are not part of our international portability agreements. This process comes under the REPS pathway 4.
Your first step is to complete an application form to establish the appropriate pathway for you. Contact Julz Darroch on 021 833 976 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form and to answer any questions you have.
As with all our services we are happy to accommodate any specific learning needs of individuals, including verbal and electronic assessment resources- just ask.
